COMPOSITION:
Crotamiton liquid 10%, 100g of liquid contains: Crotonoyl-N-ethyl-o-toluidine 10g (polyoxyethylene glycol 400, ethanol, water).
Crotamiton ointment 10%, 100g of ointment contains: Crotonoyl-N-ethyl-o-toluidine 10g (polyoxyethylene glycol 400 and 4000, water).
PROPERTIES AND ACTION:
Crotamiton relieves or alleviates all forms of skin itching, independently of a cause, within 6 hours after application. At the same time it prevents against consequences of itching such as scratches, skin injuries or secondary infections. Crotamiton is an anti-parasite drug against scabies, pubic louse and also antibacterial drug in skin infection by staphylococci and streptococci. An advantageous action of this drug has been observed in treatment of scabies with secondary suppurative lesions.
INDICATIONS:
Treatment of scabies, acarina larva infections (Trobicula autumnalis); different origin itching (such as allergic and senile itching, pudendal and anal itching, drug-induced itching). This drug can be applied in treatment of both smooth and hairy skin lesion.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Allergy to the drug components. The drug cannot be applied in case of acute inflammation of skin (dermatitis), independently of a cause.
INTERACTIONS:
None.
DOSAGE:
IIn case of itching: Rubb-in several times a day in places of itching until it disappears. It is not recommended to bath often during treatment. It is recommended to bath several days after completed treatment.
In case of scabies : After bathing and drying a skin the fluid or ointment should be rubbed-in. The best is to rubb-in for the night. After 2-3 days from the last anointment it is recommended to take a bath, change bedclothes and underwear. In case of babies a single application is enough.
NON-DESIRABLE ACTION:
The drug sometimes may cause an allergic reaction, (temporary erythema) and feeling of warmth. There were no lesions of internal organs found as a result of the drug absorption. Protect eyes when applying the drug.
VALIDITY PERIOD:
3 years from the date of production.
Do not use if outdated.
STORAGE:
Keep out of reach of children. Store both medicines in temperature over 0oC. Store the fluid in a dark bottle.

Crotamiton fluid 10%. Bottles containing 100g of liquid.
