COMPOSITION:
1 tablet contains: Belladonna alkaloids counted on Atropine sulfate 0,25mg (lactose, potato starch, dextrin, talc, magnesium stearate).
PROPERTIES AND ACTION:
Bellapan widens pupils of the eyes; benumbs accommodation of the eye; increases the pressure of the liquid in the eyeball; restrains the secretion of sweat glands, lacrimal glands, salivary glands and mucous glands; slightly expands the bronchi. It restrains the influence of the vagus nerve on the cardiovascular system, accelerating the action of the heart. It widens blood vessels of skin, causing its redness. It decreases tension of the smooth muscle of the digestive system, the bile ducts and the bladder.
INDICATIONS:
Spasmodic states of the digestive system, bile ducts and ureter; intestinal, renal and biliary colic; profuse perspiration; motion sickness; headaches, also migrainous; Menier's syndrome.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Glaucoma; prostate; ischuria; tachycardia; cardiac failure; ulcerating inflammation of the large intestine; narrowing of the pylorus; pregnancy; lactation.
WARNING:
The medicine penetrates through the womb into the blood of the fetus and into mother's milk.
INTERACTIONS:
Amantadine, quinidine, some antihistaminics; some Parkinson's disease medicines; derivatives of phenothiazine; tricyclical antidepressants; meperidin; MAO inhibitors; neuroleptics enhancing the cholinitic effect. Shows antagonism towards medicines stimulating the peristaltic motions of the digestive system, like metoclopramid, cholinesterase. It reduces the effectiveness of phenothiazine. Due to the influence on the peristaltic motions, it increases absorption of atenolol, digocsin and thiazide diuretics from the digestive system and decreases the absorption of cimetidine and levodopa.
DOSAGE:
As determined by the doctor, or 1-2 tablets 2-3 times a day.
If overdosed, the medicine may cause dryness in the mouth and throat, diplopia, photophobia; hot, dry and reddened skin; elevated temperature; dilatation of the pupils of the eyes; tachycardia. The central nervous system may produce: excitement, confusion, atactic walk, hallucinations and speech disorders. In case of an overdose call a doctor or an ambulance.
NON-DESIRABLE ACTION:
Accommodation disorders and paralysis of the pupil sphincter, an increase in the eyeball pressure; dryness of the mucous membrane and skin; excitement or depression, depending on the dose; hallucinations; constipation.
VALIDITY PERIOD:
3 years from the date of production.
Do not use if outdated.
STORAGE:
Keep out of reach of children. Protect from direct light and moisture.
